Syner-G Phone 2
Phone / E-Mail to Phone Instructions
(Only additional cost: $0.05 to receive the message on your phone, if you choose to do so. Subject to the availability and reliability of wireless carriers on both sides.)
Please select the instructions you need from the following:

To Configure Syner-G Phone to Phone on the
Website:
http://www.gabriel-tech.com/
1.
Click on My Account
2. Put your webSMS username and password and click
"Logon".
3. Fill in the information, for the "Wireless Phone" option
put your hafatel phone number in the format 16717881234 no spaces,
punctuations, symbols.
4. Click on "Save Changes".
5. Click on "Edit
Addressbook".
6. Under "Add Contact" put in your contacts, for the
"contact nickname" DO NOT use spaces, symbols or punctuations. Shorter is
better too. This will be used when sending messages using your phone. Save
each contact.

To Configure Syner-G Phone to
Phone with your Cell Phone:
1. Add 1-671-988-4040 to your phonebook, this will be the Syner-G Gateway (GTA users, please use 1-671-488-2130).
2. To set a phone as your phone, send an SMS text message to the Syner-G Gateway in the following format:
.setphone
yourusername yourpassword (do not forget the
spaces)
e.g: .setphone juan jtc123 (then send
to Syner-G Gateway)
This will assign the phone you just used as the phone to forward
messages incoming messages to based on your configuration.
3. To add or replace a contact, send an SMS text message to
that number using the following format:
.add nickname phonenumber (again, do not forget
the spaces)
e.g: .add jose 639181234567 (then send to Syner-G
Gateway)
For nickname no spaces, punctuations,
symbols.
For the phonenumber, format 639191234567 no spaces,
punctuations, symbols.
After you have setup your account for phone
to phone you may now use it to send SMS text messages.
To send a
message:
1. Add 1-671-988-4040 to your phonebook if is not already added (GTA users, please use 1-671-488-2130).
2. Send your SMS text message to that number. The messages must follow the following format:
nickname messagebody (do not forget the space),
then send to the Syner-G Gateway
Example:
jose How is it going over there? (Sent to Syner-G
Gateway)
(jose is a nickname of one of my contacts, is followed by
a space then the actual message to be sent.)
Getting
messages:
The messages you will get will come from one of our incoming gateways (a Guam local number). The messages will follow the format:
<message>
Fr:<nickname>
Example:
Everthing's great! Nice to hear from you.

To Configure your E-Mail to
Phone:
Go to http://www.gabriel-tech.com/
1. Click on "My Account"
2. Put your webSMS
username and password and click "Logon".
3. In the Email-to-Phone
section, fill in the information, for the "Email" option put your email
address you want to use to send and receive SMS Text Messages.
4. For
"Use email forwarding function" choose "YES".
5. Indicate a Trigger
word that you would put in the Subject Line of the E-Mail for the system
to uniquely identify you by. The trigger word will act as a safeguard
against users that may try to send spoof text message via any random
account.
6. Click on "Save Changes".
Once everything is setup, you can now email to mobiles in the
Philippines
and Guam.
To send a message:
In the "To:" field put:
To: <number>@gabriel-tech.com
example. To: 639171234567@gabriel-tech.com
In the "Subject:" field put:
Subject: <trigger>
The trigger word you specified when you setup the email-to-phone
function.
Put you message in accordingly. Reminder: text messages are
limited to 130
characters. If you exceed this amount the server will
cut of the excess.
When you receive a message the "From:" address will be:
From: <number>@gabriel-tech.com
example. From: 639171234567@gabriel-tech.com
And the subject will show:
example: Subject: Text Message
Do not reply direcly to the messages, replying puts some extra
code in the
message and the message may not go thru.
Finally, right now our server does not support multiple recipients
or
attachments. Send messages to one mobile at a time. We are working
to
provide this feature in the future.
NOTE: The message will be cut to the MAXIMUM length allowed by the
local carrier. [90 Chars. for Guam | 132 Chars. for
Philippines]
